Origin;
Murugapperumal went to Thiruthani from Vallimalai and got married. It is said that he came and went here then. It is also known as Tirthagiri as it is not always watered. This is a place to be if you want baked fruit or uncooked fruit.
Here Valli, Murugan is depicted with Deivana, the specialty of this temple is that Valli is taller than Murugan. The temple is also unique in having a scenic hill in the north and the city parties in the south.
Before coming to the temple, there is a sapthaanni with Ganesha in front of the entrance of the temple.
